about the conference

This is the 4th international event for The Social Prescribing Network and is the only international conference for social prescribing in the world.  We are building on a reputation for providing well organised, informative conferences with a range of speakers, learning opportunities and networking. Like last year, this event will run over two days and will be held online, with every effort made to maintain opportunities for networking.

Sessions will be recorded allowing delegates access to the recordings on the virtual platform after the event.

The whole conference is CPD certified providing 12 hours of CPD for attendance across the two days.

conference theme

Our programme aims to bring you the latest experiences and data about social prescribing both locally and internationally.  We are delighted to welcome our Day 1 keynote speaker, Sir Michael Marmot from UCL to speak about inequalities and social prescribing. Our Day 2 keynote speaker is Dr Lee Kheng Hock sharing how Singhealth community hospitals are embracing social prescribing in Singapore.

The conference will cover a range of topics from strategic developments in social prescribing commissioning, the utilisation of Integrated Care Systems, workforce development, and international developments. We will also take a look at key sectors - including the VCFSE, children and young people, green prescribing, student champions and placements and much more.

We will understand the triumphs and the tribulations and have a key a continual focus on inequalities.

conference format

The conference will be provided as an online event.  Tickets will enable delegates to attend all scheduled sessions on the 10th and 11th March 2022. Sessions will be recorded and made available to delegates.

There will be a mixture of plenary sessions, concurrent workshops and research workshop presentations, interspersed with networking opportunities.  We will have a virtual exhibitors hall and a virtual research poster room.
